EditPad Pro (the professional version of EditPad Lite) is an excellent and very complete editor and word processor.

Among the main features and tools of EditPad Pro these are the highlights: the texts are placed in intuitive tabs, you can write texts, documents, web scripts, source code for programmers, files logs, letters, memos, reports, articles, etc. It allows working with different layers and editing text in different columns (like a newspaper). In addition, the syntax is coloured to make it easier to locate, it supports regular expressions, and so on.

EditPad Pro also comes equipped with utilities and functions to perform advanced searches and replacements, give different formats to texts, apply effects and filters, convert between cases, apply undo options, edit the text directly in binary, and so on. It also has its own character map.
